Was sitting outside in a lawn chair, enjoying a beer. Do you like it cold, mon ami? Now where's that naked snow angel you promised me?

Hello all, Busy days even though we are staying at home as we are receiving people for supper tonight, and another group for lunch tomorrow. But it's alright, good to put in the effort in order to try to relax later with close ones and enjoy some good meals. Here is a Christmas log cake that Daisy made from scratch. I know how it tastes because she made it last year too but this time I thought she made the presentation out of this world. My goodness, cream cheese filling, dulce de lèche inside and out, pecan nuts, bits of caramilk bars... this is smack dab in the middle of my dessert preferences. : ) Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Joy and peace, and love.

This is Monsieur Le Chat. Well that's his nn name anyway. He is now already 10 years old, and has appeared in this blog over time. This morning, he felt like falling asleep in my arms.

Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 11:13:37 PM- Our pink peonies come out a bit later than the white ones.
Here is a pic that I took just a few minutes ago. I'm holding the flower with my left hand so it gives you an idea of the size of these blossoms. I've a few scratches from tending to the nearby rose bush, but am a happy camper nonetheless. The other day one of you surprised me by saying ''good vibes''. Basically nailing it, the essence of what I try to convey when posting photos like this one . Merely uploading them... ...and may, perhaps, the energy signature from what you see affect you, if only even on a subconscious level, in a good way.

Here's a few pics from this evening. Peonies we planted five or six years ago. Now odoriferous and huge, as spring segues into summer. part of the bush another close-up

Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 11:32:19 PM- Daisy wanted me to post this here.
'Cause she likes it. Wish I could find a version with better resolution!

We planted a small azalea bush a few weeks ago and some nice orange flowers are coming out now. Here's the little feller, he's about sixteen inches high. Might be a six-footer some day. Uh-oh...I might do like five or six years ago and post a bunch of pics of flowers coming out in the yard this spring and summer, and bore y'all straight to sleep. What can I say, Daisy and I both love flowers. But I'm the one who actually takes care of them! Relaxes me. Lilacs are out now too, and only for a few days.

Sunday, May 19, 2019, 8:09:13 PM- They are a wonderful presence.
Managed to get this shot in front of home mere minutes ago. This is a hummingbird, the smallest bird in the world. They have migrated back to Canada from Mexico or South America, once again. How they do it, I've no idea. But they inspire me. Two are hanging around the feeder today. It's a gloomy afternoon, and my camera can only do so much. But I love the mood of this shot, and the silhouette that my delicate and elegant avian friend is cutting, as if it knew...
